Michigan Planned Programs for Teacher Recertification
Michigan Planned Programs for Teacher Recertification
The state of Michigan requires a planned program of courses. A planned program is defined as six 3-credit graduate-level courses (non-degree).
Provisional teaching certificate renewal requires completion of a planned program of study (18-hour minimum). Teachers holding a professional certificate may re-certify based on 6-credits and are not required to be part of a planned program.
To maintain state certification, classroom teachers have the following two options:
- Individually designed planned program of study for
re-certification.
Marygrove College, through its partnership with Canter, has 33 courses to help you create a planned program.- Use the Course Finder to start designing your own planned program of six 3-credit graduate-level courses.
- Here are some additional suggestions of individually designed planned progrms using Canter courses.
- Established planned programs
- Below are some suggested planned programs. These planned programs do not meet the requirements for an additional endorsement to your teaching certificate.
