Group Enrollments

Concerned about studying on your own? Enroll together with one or more colleagues and save as a group—up to $50 each per course.* At Canter, we understand that each person has a unique learning style. Some people prefer to learn independently, while others may find it more beneficial—and fun—to study with a friend or group of colleagues. That’s why many Canter students choose to enroll in groups. Some even schedule regular times to work together.

Group Savings*

You can gain even more savings when you register as a group by combining the Group Discount with the Early Bird Discount, the New Student Discount (for group members new to Canter), and the New Student Referral Credit (for group leaders, enrolling group members new to Canter courses). Teachers Savings*
2-4 enrollees $30 each per course
5-7 enrollees $40 each per course
8+  $50 each per course

To qualify for group discounts, group participants must submit all registrations together and at the same time using one registration method—fax, mail, phone, or online.* Each group must designate a group leader who will receive the group’s course materials and be responsible for distributing them to the group’s members.

How to Enroll in a Group

Group Enrollments Online
Please follow these instructions if your group will be registering online for Canter courses in either the print & DVD or online formats.

  1. The group leader enrolls first and functions as the point of contact.
  2. The group leader should select only those courses to be taken by everyone in the group.
  3. During the online registration process the group leader will receive a Group ID, which will be valid for 24 hours.
  4. At checkout step 4, Payment Details, the group leader selects ‘Group Leader’ from the ‘Enrollment Type’ drop down list.
  5. The group leader should distribute the Group ID to group members, who then have 24 hours to register.
  6. Group members must register online in the same course(s) and in the same format selected by the group leader. 
  7. At checkout step 4, Payment Details, the group member selects ‘Group Member’ from the ‘Enrollment Type’ drop down list and enters the Group ID provided by their group leader.

NOTE: The online registration total will not reflect the full amount of the group discount. Your group discount will be calculated when your credit card is charged.

Online enrollments require payment by credit card. If you or anyone in your group is paying by check or purchase order, please submit the entire group’s registration via mail (see below for instructions).

Group Enrollments by Phone
If your group is registering by phone, please call 1-800-669-9011 to speak with a Canter graduate course representative. Phone registrations require payment by credit card.

  • Please have the group leader’s name and address ready. Study materials for every member of the group will be sent to the group leader to distribute.

Group Enrollments by Mail or Fax
